Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing or instructor approval Catalog Description : This course explores frameworks for creating spaces that embody social and ecological justice. We examine how architects, scholars, and activists map (in)justice considering global crises of state violence, ecological catastrophe, displacement and gentrification, and racial, gender, and economic disparity. Through texts and discussion, we explore intersections of race, class, gender, ability, nationality, and space investigating the possibilities and challenges of addressing systemic injustice through design. Not open to students who have previously received or need to receive credit for ENST 513 or ETST 513.
