Prerequisites/Notes: GEST 300, 301, or 305 or instructor approval Catalog Description : This course critically examines how conceptions of love and sex encounter, confront, and negotiate capitalism’s market logic, postcolonial geopolitics, and the ethics of pleasure in building a modern nation-state. This interdisciplinary course will utilize literature from political science, sociology, and anthropology to explore these issues.
