Catalog Description : A beginning course for students who have never studied the viola da gamba. Students will learn to play treble, tenor, and bass viols. (Instruments and bows will be provided.) Students will develop the skills to read in all relevant clefs and tablature, and will gain rudimentary historical knowledge of the instrument and its repertoire.
