Prerequisites/Notes: MUEP 246 Catalog Description : This course will explore diverse pedagogical approaches—including Orff, Kodály, and Dalcroze—through active music-making, emphasizing singing, movement, improvisation, and the use of classroom instruments. Students will examine culturally responsive teaching practices, world music traditions, musical literacy, and creative expression to foster lifelong engagement for all learners in the modern general music classroom. Clinical observation components allow for the practical application of theories to real-world classroom scenarios.
