Prerequisites/Notes: EDST 180, junior standing, and admission to the teacher education program Catalog Description : This course for teacher certification focuses on two aspects of K-12 teaching: (1) helping learners develop disciplinary language and literacy, and (2) planning instruction for a variety of learners, including students with disabilities. Students arrange their own practicum of three hours per week in a grade 4-12 class that includes learners receiving special education; a total of 20 practicum hours is required.
