Prerequisites/Notes: Sophomore standing or consent of instructor Catalog Description : This course examines important questions about gender in the last thousand years of Chinese history. Through an exploration of primary sources in translation, classic works of fiction, film, memoirs, and oral histories, we will address theoretical questions fundamental to both gender studies and Chinese history.
