Prerequisites/Notes: Majors only, with junior or senior standing Catalog Description : In this Capstone course for the Philosophy major, students write a research paper using an article or book chapter from a previous philosophy course as their primary source. The research paper will not only explain and analyze the arguments in that primary source, but also engage the secondary literature from other philosophers on the relevant issues and defend an original thesis. This course emphasizes the skills involved in developing an independent research project, including the effective use of print and electronic sources and the giving and receiving of feedback. PREREQUISITES: Majors only, with junior or senior standing Attributes: GER Humanities Div, 600-699 Capstone Course
