Catalog Description : This course is built around visits with alumni who make their living with books – authors, agents, editors, librarians, and audiobook narrators. The aim is to encourage career discernment and expand our sense of how books are produced and consumed. For three units, students contribute questions for guests and complete a career discernment exercise. For six units, students contribute questions, complete the career discernment exercise, discuss additional readings, and submit regular entries from a learning journal.
