Prerequisites/Notes: BIOL 150 and Sophomore Status Catalog Description : Fishes are the most species-rich vertebrate group on Earth and provide an excellent lens for understanding evolutionary and ecological principles. In this course, students will explore the amazing diversity of fishes through the study of evolution , ecology , physiology, morphology , life histories, behavior, biogeography , management , and conservation. Through lectures, laboratory exercises, experiments , and field trips, students will engage firsthand in the study of fish biology.
