Catalog Description : In this course, students will practice applying and generating music-theoretical concepts through multiple musical and communicative modalities. Working with a variety of musical practices and traditions, students will study structural parameters of music (i.e. rhythm, groove, meter, form, texture, timbre, pitch, harmony, etc.) and consider how such inquiry informs and participates in the creation, listening, narration, notation, performance, and experience of music.
