Catalog Description :
This laboratory class will illuminate physiological mechanisms in response to acute and chronic exercise. Chronic adaptations and training and acute responses of the muscular, circulatory, respiratory, and endocrine systems will be covered. Health benefits of physical activity, the relationship between exercise and weight, aerobic and muscular strength, and the role of nutrition, age, gender and environmental factors will be discussed.
