TOPICS FOR Spring 2027: Color Grading PREREQUISITES: FIST 100 or FIST 116, or instructor approval This course examines the fundamentals of digital color grading for video. Through readings, screenings and hands-on work, students will learn to assess the look of footage, and how to reinforce or improve that look. Color aesthetics and their application through effective color grading strategies will be explored. Students will also learn to navigate post-production workflows, learning good practices for the delivery of completed video projects.

Catalog Description : This hands-on course allows for an in-depth examination of various aspects of film and video production, with a dual focus on close reading/ viewing and practical exploration of advanced techniques, culminating in a final film or video project. May be repeated when topic is different
