Prerequisites/Notes: UNIC 189 or UNIC 202 or ANTH 342, 542, OR instructor approval Catalog Description : Discover how everyday issues—from clean air to food security—are tackled by local public health professionals. This hands-on course will teach you to identify community health challenges, partner with local organizations, and gather real-world data. In small teams you’ll design, implement, or evaluate a short-term public health intervention. All majors welcomed, no prior field experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to make local impact.
